Minced meat is not necessary to enjoy a delicious hamburger. Instead try this alternative beans recipe. You won’t miss the meat at all!
Beans are an excellent source of protein, and are considered a good alternative to meat consumption. If you are vegan, or you are on a break from eating animal products, try this recipe hit for beans and carrots that will satisfy even the most demanding palate.
Ingredients for bean burger for 4 persons:
2 small canned beans (400 ml)
3 cloves of garlic
100 grams of instant oat flakes
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of cumin
½ teaspoon coriander
½ teaspoon chilli powder
¼ teaspoons of cayenne pepper
salt and pepper as desired
1. Heat olive oil in the pan. Pour on it sliced onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Pour the onion until it becomes clear.
2. Add sliced carrots, cumin, coriander, chilli powder and cayenne pepper. Bake until carrots soften. Remove the pan from the heat.
3. Drain and rinse well the beans from cans, then mash them with a fork. Add the hot mixture of onions and carrot, soy sauce and instant oat flakes to the sauce.
From the resulting mixture, make 4 burgers. Wrap them with a plastic foil and put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
4. Put burgers in a baking pan and fry them at moderate heat. Decorate them as desired. Bon appetit!
